Hagers College:

For over 60 years Hagerstown Business College has been providing quality career-oriented education to men and women in the areas of business, accounting, office technology, and medical and legal studies. We have one of the most dedicated faculties, whose goal is to help you succeed. Our curriculum is practical, designed to give you what you need to get the job you want.

The objective of the Accounting program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions in the accounting field. A variety of specialized accounting subjects will provide students with a general understanding of the basic concepts of accounting as applied in business offices in both the public and private sectors as staff accountants and office management trainees in specialized areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Courses in written and oral communications, technological applications, and business organization help students to understand the broad scope and responsibilities of individuals working in the accounting field. Classroom instruction is reinforced through a business-related externship. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree.
